Project Description: Engineering, procurement and construction of the ZET liquified natural gas terminal at South Dunes, Port of Richards Bay, South
Zululand Energy Terminal (ZET) is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of a request for expressions of interest to gauge the interest and capabilities of EPC contractors for participation in the preparation and execution of the project. The selection of the EPC contractor(s) will be conducted through a phased approach commencing with this request for Expression of Interest (EOI), followed by a Request for Information (RFI), and progressing to a Request for Quotation (RFQ):
- Expression of Interest (EoI)
- Purpose: To understand the interest and general capability of potential parties.
- Process:
- Interested parties must first submit a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) via the provided NDA Template to tenders@zlet.co.za.
- Upon receipt of the signed NDA, ZET will provide a standard form for official submission of interest and general information.
- All parties with a signed NDA will receive the minimum requirements for participation.
- Parties that meet the minimum requirements will receive more detailed project information and process specifics. ZET may request additional information.
- Parties not meeting the minimum requirements will be notified, but their details will be retained for potential future engagement as subcontractors.
- All correspondence must be conducted exclusively through this email address tenders@zlet.co.za any communication received via an alternative email address will not be accepted.
- Outcome: ZET reserves the right to invite compliant parties to proceed to the Request for Information (RFI) stage.
- Request for Information (RFI)
- Purpose: To develop a shortlist of potential preferred EPC contractors.
- Process:
- After the ZET decision to proceed, only compliant parties from the EoI stage will receive a detailed questionnaire.
- Parties must submit the completed questionnaire along with a binding statement of interest in participating in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
- Based on the sole judgment of the ZET committee, a shortlist of candidates will be selected after evaluation.
- Shortlisted parties will be notified and will proceed to the next stage.
- Parties not shortlisted will be notified and will be maintained in the list of alternative contractors.
- Outcome: ZET reserves the right to invite the selected shortlisted parties to the Request for Proposal (RFP) stage.
- Request for Proposal (RFP)
- Purpose: Selection of the main EPC contractor(s).
- Process: Details regarding the RFP process will be disclosed to the selected parties during the RFI stage.
TAKE NOTE
All interested EPC contractors are requested to submit a signed copy of the NDA to confirm their interest in participating in the EoI process and in order to receive a copy of the official EoI documentation upon the EoI launch, scheduled to occur shortly.
